KUPO PowerFit 400A Series – TÜV Rheinland and CE Certified High-Current Single-Pole Power Connectors with RoHS and REACH Compliance
The KUPO PowerFit 400A series is a high-current single-pole power connection system designed for temporary and semi-permanent power distribution. TÜV Rheinland certified and CE marked, with RoHS and REACH compliance, the series meets European and IEC-market requirements for product safety, quality and material compliance. It is suitable for live events, stage lighting, broadcast applications, industrial equipment, generator power distribution, data centers, energy storage systems, renewable energy installations and other high-power electrical applications.
The PowerFit system is rated for 400A continuous current when used with 120mm² cable . It supports maximum operating voltages of 1000V AC and 1500V DC. Silver-plated brass contacts provide a low contact resistance of only 0.1mΩ, helping reduce resistive heating during sustained high-current operation while improving electrical efficiency, connection stability and contact service life. The system also provides a short-circuit rating of up to 35.5kA for demanding high-power distribution applications.
The connectors feature a secure push-and-twist locking mechanism. Source connectors incorporate a patented key-release pin that allows controlled, tool-free disconnection without requiring a dedicated unlocking device. This design helps prevent accidental separation caused by vibration, cable tension or unintended contact. Drain connectors include a silicone O-ring that creates an IP67 seal when properly mated with a Source connector, providing complete protection against dust ingress and temporary water immersion up to one meter for 30 minutes.
The PowerFit series is available in four configurations: Line Source, Line Drain, Panel Source and Panel Drain. These options provide flexible installation solutions for extension cables, generators, portable distribution systems, power distribution boxes, equipment panels and fixed electrical installations. Line connectors feature an ergonomic rubber grip and an M40 cable gland. The standard gland accommodates cable diameters from approximately 14mm to 33mm, while an optional M50 cable gland is available for larger high-current cables.
The connector housing is manufactured from high-impact thermoplastic material with a UL94-V0 flame-retardant rating. The material is designed to self-extinguish quickly after the ignition source is removed and does not produce flaming drips, providing enhanced fire safety in high-current power distribution environments. The series is available in eight housing colors with phase-encoded part numbers for phase conductors, neutral and protective earth. This phase-specific identification system helps reduce wiring errors caused by differences between regional electrical color conventions.
