Description
The Outdoor Sensor System (OSS) is designed specifically for outdoor environments. It boasts exceptional weather resistance and long-term stability, enabling real-time collection of diverse sensor data. For industrial and factory applications, the OSS delivers precise sensory data tailored to industry-specific demands while significantly reducing labor and material costs.
Furthermore, the OSS is highly multifunctional and ideally suited for applications across Smart Cities, Infrastructure Monitoring, and Disaster Warning & Prevention.

Key Features of the Outdoor Sensor System (OSS):
-Built for Harsh Environments
The OSS can be mounted on any flat surface or secured to a standard 50mm pole, making it ideal for outdoor and remote installations.
-Industrial-Grade Protection: Features an IP67/IP68 water and dust-proof rating, a UV-resistant sun-protection enclosure, and rodent-resistant cabling.
-Smart Drainage Design: Equipped with a built-in rain skirt to effectively divert water flow.
These characteristics ensure high reliability and low maintenance costs in harsh environments, making the OSS the perfect choice for large-scale, distributed sensor networks across cities, farmlands, and forests.
- Internal or External Sensor Options
The OSS is available in versions with internal (chambered) sensors or versions that support external Modbus sensors.
-Internal Sensors: Measure air quality parameters such as temperature, humidity, PM2.5, and ammonia ($NH_3$).
-External Sensors: Support a wide range of soil and water quality measurement devices. Since Modbus is the industry standard, virtually any type of external sensor can be integrated.
-Flexible Power Supply Options
The OSS supports multiple power delivery methods:
1. Long-life Internal Battery: An industrial-grade built-in battery that provides 1 to 3 years of power, with the capability to power external Modbus sensors (under specific conditions).
2. External Power Input (12V/24V): Features a pass-through power design, allowing the OSS to share power directly with connected Modbus sensors.
3. Reverse Powering: Power can be supplied backward from the sensors to the OSS host via the Modbus cable.
4. Magnetic Power Socket: Allows for temporary power supply by connecting a portable power bank.
-Azure IoT Connectivity
OSS devices securely upload collected sensor data to the cloud. The cloud platform not only aggregates sensor data but also supports remote device configuration and Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware upgrades. The OSS currently supports Microsoft Azure IoT Hub and can be seamlessly integrated with other public or private cloud platforms.
-Dual Connectivity: Wi-Fi + LTE
Equipped with both cellular (LTE) and Wi-Fi capabilities for cloud communication, OSS devices can be deployed virtually anywhere.
-Mobile App Integration (Android/iOS)
To prevent unauthorized tampering, the OSS device features a buttonless exterior design. Field deployment and configuration are managed through the OSS Companion App. After secure authentication via NFC, configuration is completed seamlessly over Bluetooth (BLE).
-Unmatched Maintenance Convenience
Field maintenance for the OSS is fast and effortless. Thanks to its modular design, technicians only need to remove two external screws to pull out the entire internal component assembly. This allows for quick service without removing the installed enclosure or disconnecting any external wiring.
