Description
The Tibbo Project System (TPS) is a highly integrated, cost-effective environmental control platform purpose-built for industrial automation, precisely meeting the demands of various specialized applications.
he core advantage of TPS lies in its unique modular philosophy—Tibbits® functional blocks. By combining modules with different functionalities, users can easily and accurately construct automation equipment tailored to their exact needs. This eliminates unnecessary feature costs, truly achieving highly efficient management by allowing you to "select only what you need and remove the redundant." From industrial automation, smart factories, and smart cities (such as security monitoring, smart buildings, and smart hotels) to smart agriculture and beyond, the Tibbo Project System (TPS) delivers comprehensive support for all your application needs.
[Tibbo Project System (TPS): An Overview]
The Tibbo Project System (TPS) is a highly configurable, affordable industrial automation platform. Its flexibility is rooted in Tibbits®—miniature electronic blocks that implement specific I/O functions. This module-based approach allows you to define the exact functionality you require, thereby saving costs.
Our philosophy for TPS is clear: Choose only the modules you truly need, and eliminate all redundancy. No more generic gray plastic enclosures, hot-glued circuit boards, or manually drilled holes for wiring! Simply pair a Tibbo Project PCB (TPP) with your desired Tibbits, enclose them in a professionally styled Tibbo Project Box (TPB), and you have a sleek, highly customized automation device.
TPS Consists of Three Main Components:
1. Tibbits® (Functional Blocks)
Tibbits (short for "Tibbo Bits") are prepackaged I/O modules housed in brightly colored rectangular shells. Need an ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter)? There's a Tibbit for that. Need a 5V power supply? We have it. Need RS232/422/485 ports? We have those, too, along with a vast array of other functional modules.
2. Tibbo Project PCBs (TPP)
The TPP is the motherboard onto which Tibbits are installed. Each TPP features a CPU, an Ethernet port, memory, status LEDs, a buzzer, and sockets for Tibbit modules. Depending on its size, a TPP can accommodate up to 12 or 28 Tibbits.
TPP2(G2), TPP2(G3), and TPP3(G2) boards run the Tibbo Operating System (TiOS) and execute applications written in Tibbo BASIC, Tibbo C, or a combination of both.
The LTPP3(G2) runs Linux.
3. Tibbo Project Boxes (TPB)
Most devices require an enclosure. Designing a custom housing can be challenging, and making it both aesthetically pleasing and functional is often cost-prohibitive. Don't worry! You can order a Tibbo Project Box (TPB) kit to perfectly complement your TPS.
Each TPP size has a corresponding TPB, and you can also opt for a TPB equipped with an LCD display and sensor keys.
TPBs can be ordered unassembled (as a parts kit) or fully assembled. We also offer retail packaging options, vibration protection, and DIN rail mounting kits.
TPP + Tibbits [+ TPB] = Tibbo Project System (TPS)
By combining a Tibbo Project PCB (TPP) with at least one Tibbit module, you create a Tibbo Project System (TPS). The TPS can be optionally housed within a Tibbo Project Box (TPB).
Configure Your TPS Online in Real-Time (Cody)
To simplify your workflow, we created Cody, an online, real-time TPS configuration tool. Cody allows you to select a TPP, insert Tibbits, and save your custom configuration under a unique name.
The configurator automatically validates your design (ensuring proper Tibbit placement, keeping total power consumption within the available power budget, etc.). It also lets you choose system-related shipping options, such as whether you want the system pre-assembled or in commercial retail packaging. Additional options include vibration protection kits, DIN rail mounting kits, and Wi-Fi modules.
AppBlocks for TPS
Writing and debugging complex applications is no longer the only path forward—AppBlocks offers an efficient and straightforward alternative. AppBlocks is a no-code, flowchart-style, browser-based development platform designed specifically for TPS and other Tibbo OS (TiOS) devices.
Ideal for IoT, data collection, and automation, AppBlocks provides a convenient way to dynamically generate code based on your modular control platform. If you lack an in-house or third-party software team, this is the perfect alternative for application generation. You can complete the entire development process with just a few mouse clicks—no coding required. Once finished, upload the application directly to your TPS device and perform real-time testing and debugging right from your browser.
In practice, your application behavior is defined by drawing block diagrams—a process almost anyone can master. Because our blocks are tailored to common automation requirements, your diagrams remain simple and easy to understand. AppBlocks automatically generates the underlying Tibbo BASIC application, truly delivering rapid development and exceptional ease of use.
