Description
By combining the unique 6-degree-of-freedom (6DoF) measurement capabilities of the Leica Absolute Tracker AT960, HEXAGON provides absolute accuracy within a 60-meter diameter measurement range. The system utilizes portable laser scanning technology to capture point cloud data, extracting detailed dimensional information from even bright metallic or dark surfaces while remaining unaffected by changes in ambient lighting. It delivers superior performance for scanning complex workpieces and fully automated robotic inspection systems, enabling both "inspection and verification" and "reverse engineering" applications.

Based on patented "Flying Dot" technology, the LAS offers exceptional performance in free-surface inspection. It automatically adjusts laser intensity to adapt to the workpiece surface without user intervention, completing the measurement process in a single pass.

The LAS can be automatically recognized by the laser tracker, allowing for seamless switching between retro-reflectors, T-Probes, and scanning measurements. Users can easily toggle between preset scanning modes by clicking the main button to scan different areas of a workpiece. Human-centric design, featuring indicator lights along with haptic, auditory, and visual feedback, ensures that even inexperienced operators can use the system with ease.

An IP50 protection rating guarantees stability and reliability in harsh environments. Furthermore, the RDS software interface is shared with Hexagon's portable measuring arms, allowing operators to leverage existing knowledge for system checks, compensation, and calibration.
