Chairwoman Ms. Chi Yu-Se of Ching Yuang Enterprise Donates Medical-Grade Sterilizing Air Purifiers to Taipei Veterans General Hospital to Enhance Critical Care Infection Control

Ms. Chi Yu-Se, Chairwoman of Ching Yuang Enterprise, recently donated multiple units of the company’s self-manufactured medical-grade sterilizing air purifiers to Taipei Veterans General Hospital (TVGH). These units have been deployed in high-risk medical zones, including the ventilator repair room and the pulmonary rehabilitation treatment area under the Department of Respiratory Therapy. The donation effectively improves air quality and infection prevention, helping to create a safer environment for intensive care.

This donation continues Ching Yuang Enterprise’s active engagement and concrete support for the healthcare system since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, the company proactively provided medical and sterilization-grade air purification equipment to various healthcare institutions to improve air quality in wards and consultation spaces, demonstrating both responsiveness to public health challenges and a strong sense of corporate social responsibility.

The donation was received by TVGH under the leadership of Dr. Yang Guang-Yao, a critical care specialist and Director of the Smart Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Yang has played a key role in epidemic prevention and policy planning since the SARS outbreak and served as a consultant to Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center, contributing to the establishment of negative-pressure isolation wards and critical care standards across the nation.

Dr. Yang noted that ventilator maintenance and pulmonary rehabilitation areas are environments with high infection risks. The introduction of professional-grade air purification equipment significantly enhances protection for medical staff and improves the overall quality of patient care.

The donated air purifiers are equipped with several advanced medical-grade features, including:
